Indian Healthcare League Announces Season 2 After Spectacular Success of Inaugural Edition

Rajasthan Lakecity Warriors crowned champions; nationwide trials announced for doctors and medical students

Following the remarkable success of its inaugural season, the Indian Healthcare League (IHL) has officially announced Season 2, promising an even bigger platform for doctors and medical students passionate about cricket. The first season concluded on a high note with Rajasthan Lakecity Warriors lifting the championship trophy after a thrilling campaign that captured the imagination of cricket lovers across the country.

Season 1 of the Indian Healthcare League created history as India’s first centralized professional cricket league exclusively for healthcare professionals. The tournament was broadcast live on DD Sports, reaching millions of viewers nationwide, while also generating significant engagement across digital and social media platforms.

Building on this success, the IHL management has now announced nationwide player selection trials for Season 2. These trials will serve as the only pathway for players to enter the IHL Season 2 Auction, where franchises will bid for the most talented healthcare cricketers from across India and abroad.

For the upcoming season, participation has been expanded to include MBBS and BDS doctors as well as medical students, making the league an inclusive platform for the entire medical fraternity. In addition, international players from the healthcare community will also be eligible to register, further strengthening the league’s global appeal.

To ensure maximum participation, selection trials will be conducted in more than 20 cities across India, providing aspiring players from different regions the opportunity to showcase their talent and earn a place in the prestigious league.

The Indian Healthcare League remains the only centralized national cricket league dedicated exclusively to doctors and medical students in India, combining professional- level cricket with the spirit of the healthcare community.

Looking ahead, the management has ambitious plans for Season 2. The league is exploring the inclusion of well-known IPL players as mentors and team icons, adding star power, mentorship, and greater visibility to the tournament.

Speaking about the announcement, the league organizers stated that the goal of IHL is to celebrate the sporting spirit of the medical fraternity while creating a national platform that connects healthcare professionals through cricket.

With Season 2 set to be bigger, more competitive, and more widely followed, the Indian Healthcare League is poised to strengthen its position as India’s premier cricket league for doctors and medical students.

Registrations for Season 2 trials are open now, and interested doctors and medical students are encouraged to apply and seize the opportunity to be part of this unique sporting movement. Visit Indian healthcare league website and Instagram handle for more updates.
